My name is Conner Altman. I am NC born and raised. Some could say I am home grown, perhaps locally sourced. If you know me, you’ll know that I’ll never make it through a conversation without saying “y’all” or “awesome” or “hey, yikes, sorry” (I spill a lot of things). I went to Meredith College and graduated in 2015 (go ODDS y’all) and I love to write, tell stories, and make people laugh. I work in commercial real estate and teach piano to some of the best kids in the world. I got married to the love of my life, Drew Altman, in 2017 and we’ve been going to non-stop weddings ever since (being in your twenties is a blast). When I’m not working or running around town, I’m usually singing Hamilton. Actually, I’m always singing Hamilton. Who am I kidding.
“Now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good.” John Steinbeck wrote this in one of my favorite novels, East of Eden. I have been living my life by these words ever since. I strive to be good in all that I do, and I think a lot of that comes down to finding the good all around me. I have lived in NC my whole life and I LOVE it here. This blog is about bringing attention to all of those things and telling these great stories that deserve to be told. I hope you see something you like, whether it’s food, fashion, or fun, and I hope my words do some good!
