Hey y’all! I’m so glad people are enjoying our date night series! We’re having so much fun planning, scheming, and going on dates, and we’re so excited to keep sharing them with you. While most of these are local to the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) area in NC, hopefully any non-local followers will get some inspiration for their next date nights too!
This week we’re sharing something that is somehow even MORE outside of the box (well, my box at least) than a ropes course- Drive Shack Raleigh! We had a chance to try it out before it officially opens, so here’s what you need to know before you go:
We are NOT golfers (sorry, Drew). Drew is WAY better than I am because he has actually golfed before, but my experience is limited to putt-putt. The only kind of driving I’ve done is on a golf cart. Luckily for us, Drive Shack has fun things for everyone from golf pros to caddies! With 96 hitting bays, retro arcade games, a rooftop bar, and more, it’s impossible to be bored!
We went with some friends, so Drew and the guys were playing the Monster Hunt game (drive balls to hit targets- they played for HOURS). The rest of us were happy to sit back, watch, and enjoy their delicious food and specialty cocktails. It’s super low-key, so no worries if you aren’t a golf pro. If you want to improve your swing, they offer private and group lessons! I think I need to try these before I go back so I don’t embarrass my friends and family.
Drive Shack Raleigh is an awesome date night idea because it’s fun if you go as a date, but it’s even more fun if you go with friends! The driving bays hold 6-8 people and they have fun events all the time. It’s a fun way to get out of your comfort zone, but if you can’t hang on the links, you can relax and hang out! (Also, if you’re a blogger, it’s an Instagram DREAM with tons of photo ops and great views. Visit now, thank me later!)
