Work, Work, Work, Work, WORK: Amazon Fitness Finds

Hey y’all!

It’s spring which means it’s basically summer so it’s TIME to get to work on your BEACH BOD!!!!

Just kidding, any bod is a beach bod if your body is at the beach! I’ve been trying to get back into working out regularly which is basically impossible so if you’re hitting up the gym on a regular basis I think you’re a superhero. I have a love-hate relationship with the gym. I love the possibilities but I hate that I have to try to figure out what I’m doing while I’m there. I think until I can confidently say I know what I’m doing at the gym, I’m going to stick to working out at my house. Where no one can see me. Or hear me hype myself up or loudly sing Hamilton.

I’ve recently started doing Barre3 from my house- they have a great online streaming program if you don’t live close to a studio (also Barre3 PLEASE open in Holly Springs thanks) and it’s almost just like being in a class! The instructors are great and the workouts are HARD and I am LIVING. Since I didn’t have the resources of being at a studio, I had to stock my own gym and what better place to start than Amazon!

If you’re a fitness beginner, just starting a new workout program, or trying to build up your home gym, here are a few of my must have fitness finds from Amazon.

These 2lb weights are perfect for barre or pilates classes, or you can stock up on others up to 20lbs. They’re Amazon Prime so they ship free and they look cute so you’ll want to work out!

These bands are a great addition to take your workouts to the next level. Also, if you’re a band beginner, these come with instructions and a workout guide to help you out.

If you’re doing barre, you’ll definitely need one of these (it’s identical to the ones from Pure Barre or Barre3). This ball is also a good way to amp up an existing core workout plan, but make sure you learn how to use it properly so you don’t hurt your neck or back.

I like the thicker mats like this one. Most yoga mats are 4-6mm thick, but if you want some extra padding, choose an option like this that’s 1/2 inch thick. Side note: I’m actually looking to get a new mat since I’ve had mine for several years, maybe something that has a no-slip texture because ya girl is SWEATY. If I find another good one, I’ll add it here!

Y’all know I love Teleties. Literally wore these in Jamaica during a storm and my hair stayed put during 25 mph winds. Get them.

All of these items are under $20, so you can get a good set up for your home workout for under $100. As you get into a program that you like, you can always invest more and stock up on other equipment, but this is a really good start for beginners!
