I’m getting PUMPED for SPRING! The time changed so the days are getting longer, we’re getting some sneak peeks at warmer weather, and spring styles are coming in HOT every day! However, one of the biggest challenges for me is taking my wardrobe and transitioning it into the next season. Being in NC, the weather is all over the place so it’s always tough to know what to wear when it’s winter one day and spring the next.
Here are a few good ways to transition your closet from winter to spring without having to buy a whole new wardrobe.
BRIGHTEN IT UP
Add some color to your winter neutrals! Pair a long sleeve shirt with a bright spring skirt or bold floral pants.
Find a good, lightweight pair of rain booties. These will keep you covered on wet winter days and April showers! Also, pair your boots and booties with cute sundresses to get more wear out of your favorite pairs.
MAKE A STATEMENT
Don’t be cold but do be bold! Okay, that’s not a thing, but bring some life to your cold weather wear with some good statement accessories. A bright bag, bold heels, or colorful accessories can completely revamp a dark winter wardrobe.
LAYERZ FOR DAYZ
Not ready for sweater weather to be over? No problem! Layer your favorite sweaters over spring dresses or skirts to stay warm AND step into the next season.
Don’t be afraid to play around with your patterns and fabrics. If you aren’t sure how something will look, the best thing to do is TRY IT OUT! I surprise myself all the time when I put things together that shouldn’t really go together and I find a new favorite outfit.
