It’s crazy to think that January is already over! It’s even crazier to me that it felt so quickly because normally January is eleven years long. I have made it a point lately to find joy in the little things (because I’m DEFINITELY not finding it in the sub-zero temps outside), and by little things I mean the little things. Like self-tanner that doesn’t streak and easy dinner recipes that take twenty minutes to whip up. I wanted to share some of my current faves with y’all in the hopes that they might bring you a little bit of joy too!
I’m currently watching my way through Brooklyn 99 for the millionth time and it never gets old. If you love The Office, you’ll be obsessed with B99. All the episodes are on Hulu. Watch it.
If you haven’t seen Mary Poppins Returns, stop what you’re doing and go see it. I’m SERIOUS. I smiled the whole time when we saw it in the theatre. It truly warmed my cold, winter heart.
Love The Bachelor? Listen to Bros Before Rose: Men Who Watch The Bachelor. You’ll fall in love with these bros and their wives and their delightfully hilarious commentary. I love this podcast so much I actually made and sent them t-shirts last year. 100/10, highly recommend.
CRAZY RICH ASIANS. I read all three books in the series in one week and immediately started looking at flights to Singapore.
I got my white low top Converse for Christmas and I am wearing them OUT. They’re the perfect casual, comfortable sneak- especially great when you’re running out the door and don’t know what to wear.
Jeans are tough, but Holl and Main has it covered. I am currently obsessed with their distressed light wash jeans. Perfect length, perfect amount of distressing, and perfect amount of stress. (AND you can use code CONNER10 for 10% off)
Since I started my fitness routine back up, I finally started using my Apple Watch again (after a while of not using when I accidentally set off the emergency alarm and it scared the LIFE out of me). Found this cute resin band on Amazon for under $25 and I LOVE it!
I have lived 25 years as the palest person in the world but I am happy to say I FINALLY found a good sunless tanner. St. Tropez tanning mousse is wonderful and not streaky- definitely get a tanning mitt and follow the instructions that come with the package and you’ll be a tanned goddess.
As I mentioned in my winter skin tips post, St. Ive’s Oatmeal and Shea Butter lotion is a new fave. It’s a total budget-friendly find, and it keeps your skin hydrated without being sticky or oily.
Literally the last thing I want to do when I get home is figure out what to do for dinner. I’ve found a few good one pot/one pan recipes so I can just throw everything together and BOOM it’s done. My favorites right now are Cauliflower Fried Rice, Sausage and Broccoli Pasta, and Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas.
