I’m REALLY jazzed up about this post because I have FINALLY gotten into a good fitness routine. It only took me 25 years to start working out regularly, drinking water, and starting to treat my body like it isn’t going to last forever. What a miracle time can be.
Anywhoozle, I’m so pumped about this that I wanted to share my favorite workouts and gear that may inspire you to get moving. Remember, we’re all about ballin’ on a budget here so all of these things (with the exception of the sneaks- invest in your FEET, y’all) are under $50! (This post does contain affiliate links, but these items were all chosen by ME and my unbiased opinion).
NIKE TRAINING CLUB
Y’all if you want to start a workout but you don’t really know where to start, Nike Training Club is the answer. It’s a FREE app with no in-app purchases and TONS of free workouts. Did I mention that it’s free? They also have workout “collections” now- they’re programs that you can follow on your own schedule that range from 2 to 6 weeks. If you don’t have any equipment, no problem- there are a lot of really good no equipment workouts! Also, a fun bonus, they partner with celebs and athletes so they can share their workouts- you can do Ellie Goulding’s ab workout and listen to her cheer you on until time’s up. (I’m 6 workouts into the 6 week Get Lean collection. You can also supplement off days with great core, mobility, or stretch workouts if the grind never STOPS for you ((IT NEVER STOPS FOR ME GRIIIIIIND)).)
NEW BALANCE WOMEN’S CRUZ V2
These sneaks are my ALL TIME FAVORITE shoes that I’ve ever owned. It sounds like I’m exaggerating but I am NOT. They’re foam on the inside and knit on the outside- it’s like bouncing around on a cloud. These sneaks are great basics that can easily transition into athleisure. Like kick butt in a workout and then throw on a clean shirt and head to Target. They come in 6 colors, fit true to size, and they will change your life. I hope I’m not hyping them up too much (spoiler alert I’M NOT).
I know what you’re thinking- Forever 21 sells workout clothes? And the answer is YES- they have a great activewear line that I’ve been wearing for years! Everything is surprisingly durable and ridiculously cute. My only comment- some of the sports bras are made to be cute and not supportive, if you catch my drift. They do a great job of noting which ones are for low/medium/high impact.
You can find basically anything on Amazon, including REALLY cute workout tanks! Looking always makes me look forward to working out and I just like motivational t-shirts. There. I said it. If I’m working out on my own, I need to look in the mirror and have my shirt inspire me. We all do it. It’s not weird.
For full workout faves, make sure to follow me in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app! I post and link all my favorites there, so it’s the easiest way to shop tha looks. You like them, and then you can get the full details emailed straight to you, or you can shop right from the post! Just tryina make your life easier, one link at a time.
