TGIWednesday, friends. The week is halfway through and the weekend is almost here. The fun never stops in our house- we have a wedding on Friday, we’re visiting my best friend that just had a SUPER CUTE baby (literally the cutest baby), and it’s the first day of FALL on Sunday! You bet I will be pulling out every single fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving decoration that I have and going ALL OUT (I haven’t told Drew this plan yet so shhhhh). I even have some fun DIYs on my list, so stay tuned!
We were on the road most of last week staying away from the hurricane. We had a trip to Atlanta already planned to go to Music Midtown because I have the best husband in the WORLD and he totally supports my dream to follow Fall Out Boy around whenever they’re on tour. This was our fifth time seeing them in concert and they were amazing as always. Also, have you seen my latest post about Imagine Dragons? They were PHENOMENAL. Literally there aren’t enough words to describe how much I loved them. They’ll be on repeat in our house for a loooooooong time.
#WIWWednesdays will feature some of my favorite things from my IGs on the road- check them out:
COMFY & CUTE SANDALS
One of the biggest travel essentials is a solid pair of shoes. These sandals are my new wardrobe staple. I snagged these bad boys when they were on sale at Target and I can’t stop wearing them. The straps are faux leather, so they’re easy to dress up for work but casual enough to wear out for any weekend activities, including, but not limited to, walking 40 blocks back to your hotel in midtown Atlanta. Also, I can’t say enough about how comfortable these shoes are. They were great for walking around downtown, and still comfortable hours later jumping around during Imagine Dragons. 12/10, highly recommend, these sandals are amazing.
BRAIDS, BRAIDS, BRAIDS
Another on the road essential is good hair days. There is nothing like a bad hair day to ruin a fun trip. You’ll be constantly fidgeting with your hair, stressing about what it looks like in pictures, and fighting wind/humidity/rain/literally any weather the whole time. Learning how to braid my hair has saved me on so many trips. It’s perfect for beach trips, our mission trips to Mexico, last weekend’s music festival, and any other occasion. Seriously, if you can braid your hair, you can save yourself from so many bad hair days. Yesterday, I posted tutorials for all of my braided hairstyles from last weekend- check them out!
