Fashion What I Wore Wednesday

Hey y’all!

What a crazy week it has been- everyone is just getting back in from Labor Day travels or coming back from NYFW (#theFOMOisREAL) and all of a sudden a MASSIVE hurricane is headed for the coast. Hurricane Florence, I have 2 words for you- gurl, BYE.

As I mentioned in one of my earlier IG posts, my family had an awful experience with Hurricane Fran. It destroyed our house- Fran was devastating to us and so many others in this area. One thing I didn’t mention in my post was how our whole community gathered around us and others that were hit by that storm- we had friends and family helping us rebuild our house, housing us during the reconstruction, and loving on us in such a hard time. I hope that Hurricane Florence won’t be as bad as they’re saying, but I hope that in the wake of the storm we all come together to help those in need. These times are reminders that we are all so small in the grand scheme of things, and we all need each other to make it through- be kind, always.

There were a few things that were popular on IG this week, so here’s what we have for #WIWWednesdays:

Top: Aerie, Jeans and booties: Vestique
Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
Tee: Charming Charlie, Shorts: Target, Booties: Pink Magnolia Boutique

If you know me, you know that I am wearing boots all year long. Even in the dead of summer when it’s 100 degrees and 9,000% humidity, I will rock a pair of booties like it’s my job. It’s no surprise that booties are IN for this fall (aren’t they always?) and there are so many cute options. Like I said, booties EVERYWHERE.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Because I do. With these rose gold boots. I am completely OBSESSED with this pair from Vestique. They’re unique and a great statement piece for any outfit, but they are SO comfortable. You will be seeing these all over my IG this fall, so prepare yourselves. The bad news: I got these on mega clearance and they are sold out. Vestique has SO many great booties this season, including these snake skin booties if you’re looking to make a statement.

Sometimes when I’m shopping I get overwhelmed by too many options- especially when shopping on a budget. The stylists at Pink Magnolia Boutique are so patient, friendly, helpful, and AWESOME (there aren’t even enough adjectives to describe how much I love them). They always help me pick out pieces that go together, or go with things I already have, like these gorgeous cognac booties. They are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall because you can wear them with ANYTHING. Here I’m wearing them with a casual game day outfit, but I also paired them with a dress for church for a different look. Stop by Pink Magnolia at Park West Village and check out all the great fall shoe options they have! Warning: you will want to buy ALL of them.

Tee: American Eagle Joggers and slides: Target

Like all humans, I am a sucker for a good deal. So when I went to Target last weekend and saw that ALL clearance apparel, shoes, and accessories was an additional 20% off, it was basically my greatest dream come to life. I feel like I was born for that moment. Clearly, I was not the only one who was experiencing their dream based on the status of the clearance racks, but thankfully years of working in retail have prepared me for crazy racks. TheΒ red slidesΒ were an immediate must have- I was so torn between some lavender blocky heels, electric blue sandals, and these slides. They were all so mod, and I am here for it.

On the weekends, I am always wearing a graphic tee- this one is so old, but it’s so stinkin’ cute from American Eagle. They always have great tees and they are all SO soft. I have seen so many cute joggers on some of my blogger friends so I’ve been looking for a pair for a while. These pink joggers were the last ones left and only $13, AND 20% off on top of that (here are some similar). I love them for so many reasons- they’re comfortable, they’re lightweight, and they’re perfect for the weekends. Obviously they’re great for lounging around, but it’s so easy to throw on my sneaks and run errands. I am so here for sweats that don’t look like sweats. I hope this trend never ends.

One of the best things about being in the blogger world is that you always know about great sales and promotions- budget shopping is so much easier! Make sure you follow all of your favorite brands AND their reps/influencers to stay on top of their great deals.

We’re headed out to SC tomorrow on our way to Music Midtown in Atlanta this weekend- if a storm is coming, ya girl is OUT OF HERE. If you’re sticking around and waiting it out, be smart and be safe friends! Don’t take any risks- the world is so much better because you’re in it, so let’s keep it that way.
